Program Officers administer a program or major component of a program by planning, coordinating and managing services and activities in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and established program performance standards and objectives.

This position is located within the Administrative Services Division, Agreement Services Section of the Nevada Department of Transportation's (NDOT) in Carson City. This position will be responsible for processing Requests for Proposal (RFP) procurements from start to finish. Responsibilities include guiding project managers through the procurement process, informing them of necessary forms, reviewing RFP documents, tracking the progress of RFP's, coordinating proposal evaluations and interviews, and communicating with internal and external customers on the status of procurements; processing new agreements ensuring they adhere to NRS and legally approved language- and act as a liaison between Legal staff and Project Managers; and supporting existing agreements by processing amendments, task orders, and closing forms.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university in public administration or a related field; OR graduation from high school or the equivalent and four years of previous experience either performing or assisting in the planning, coordinating or administering of a program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |
|
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. |
|
Experience proofreading and reviewing contracts.
|
|
Experience with procurement and/or solicitation procedures.
|
|
The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience.
