Clinical Program Planners perform and supervise a variety of planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities within divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, including quality improvement, program design, policy and procedure development, program evaluation, research, contract and grant development and administration, strategic planning, and training initiatives.
Clinical Program Planner I's supervise quality improvement and quality assurance, program planning, program evaluation, and/or contract administration for a large program with multiple service delivery components, which may be regional or statewide.
The Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Rural Clinics is looking for a Clinical Program Planner I. Rural Clinics is comprised of 16 outpatient behavioral health clinics located throughout rural Nevada. We provide a continuum rehabilitative services (e.g., targeted case management, basic skills training, psychosocial rehabilitation, therapy, testing, jail diversion, and children?s programs, crisis intervention) to both children and adults. This position is located in Carson City, NV.
Carson City, the capital city of Nevada, is located 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe and 30 minutes from Reno. Carson City is a short drive from a plethora of outdoor activities including snow skiing, boating, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, and so much more. Carson City boasts an active arts and culture scene with a theatre, symphony and arts gallery. There is a public aquatic facility and community library. Carson City's public education is provided through seven neighborhood elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools. The largest community medical provider operates two hospitals, three urgent care locations and multiple medical support facilities.
Clinical Program Planners perform and supervise a variety of planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities. For example: Plan, coordinate, and monitor quality improvement and strategic planning activities; develop policies and procedures for quality assurance and quality improvement processes relating to internal programs and community providers; design and conduct program evaluations for use in program planning, budget development, and resource allocation decisions; develop clinical practice guidelines and standards incorporating evidence-based best practices. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social science or health related field, which included clinical intervention coursework, and two years of professional experience as a clinician in a mental health or intellectual disability service delivery setting. |
