The Position
Under general supervision, the incumbent plans, develops, implements and evaluates a comprehensive statewide public health preparedness and response training/exercise program aimed at enhancing the emergency preparedness competencies and skills of the statewide public health workforce.
This recruitment is for the Division of Child and Family Services, Child Welfare program. Applications are being accepted for several areas in Nevada. Please indicate the geographical locations in which you would be willing to accept employment in your profile. (Carson City, Elko, Fallon, Fernley, Pahrump, Winnemucca, Yerington) Incumbents in this position will serve in a trainee capacity and will assist in providing child welfare services to children and families and community contacts to develop and implement a case plan that presents intervention strategies to meet the child's needs. This position will require a Nevada Social Work license within one year of date of hire.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, early childhood development, psychology, public health, special education, nursing, or other discipline directly related to the field in which the applicant is to be trained; OR two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional experience in the field in which the applicant is to be trained. (NOTE: some jobs strictly require a bachelor's degree).
Special Notes
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
    Applicants must have a current Driver's License.
    Some series may strictly require at least a bachelor's degree to qualify. Only applicants who possess a bachelor's or higher degree may be considered qualified for this class.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal background and fingerprint check is required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
Additional Position Experience
    This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
