This recruitment is for the Division of Child and Family Services, Child Welfare program. Applications are being accepted for several areas in Nevada. Incumbents in this position will serve in a trainee capacity and will assist in providing child welfare services to children and families and community contacts to develop and implement a case plan that presents intervention strategies to meet the child's needs. This position will require a Nevada Social Work license within one year of date of hire.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, early childhood development, psychology, public health, special education, nursing, or other discipline directly related to the field in which the applicant is to be trained; OR two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional experience in the field in which the applicant is to be trained. (NOTE: some jobs strictly require a bachelor's degree). |

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.

Applicants must have a current Driver's License. |

Some series may strictly require at least a bachelor's degree to qualify. Only applicants who possess a bachelor's or higher degree may be considered qualified for this class. |
