Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.
Under the direction of the Director of Nevada's State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA), the Education Program Professional (EPP) shall provide leadership and be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of Federal and State Programs including but not limited to Title I, II (a), III, and English Learner grants. The ultimate goal of this EPP shall be planning, organizing, directing, training, monitoring and evaluating these programs so that the SPCSA's charter schools can offer the best possible educational programs and services. The selected candidate should have knowledge and experience in Special Education. This position will also will maintain data and records to provide reports to meet federal/state/SPCSA accountability requirements. This position will also maintain budgets by approving, processing, and monitoring requests for program expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility of these programs. The position is designed to support and enhance the educational process in grades K-12. Duties performed include site visits and audits in various school buildings as needed. Ability to work independently as well as working in a team-oriented environment is essential. The selected candidate must be willing to travel. The incumbent must demonstrate knowledge and application of effective education principles, practices and trends. The selected applicant must be willing to perform other duties related to the position and the overall benefit of the agency as assigned. The incumbent must demonstrate ability to perform the above responsibilities at a high level. The selected candidate must hold a valid Nevada teaching credential or be able to obtain within 3 months after employment. The preferred work location of the position is Las Vegas but may consider Carson City for the appropriate candidate.

An earned Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and one year of professional experience in an educational program area; OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and two years of professional experience in an educational program area. |

Some positions require eligibility for a Nevada teacher's license, which may include specific endorsements at the time of application. |

Experience administering or overseeing a federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Title program (I, IIA, and/or III) at a school, district or state is required. |
