Grants & Projects Analysts develop and implement and/or assess, monitor, control and review grant-in-aid projects/programs administered by State agencies and provide assistance to recipients in evaluating program effectiveness.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is with the Department of Business & Industry, Nevada Housing Division (NHD) in Las Vegas, NV. Duties will include oversight of the state's allocation of state and federal grants received by the Division, specifically the Low Income Housing Trust Fund and National Housing Trust Fund.
As the subject matter expert for the Low Income Housing Trust Fund program, this position makes certain that all federal grants are in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act and coordinates all of the aforementioned programs between the Division and both public and private entities to ensure the overall success of the programs.
In addition, the position will develop and maintain grant forms and manuals, establish an annual award process, train sub-recipients, process reimbursement requests, develop annual application and reports to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), gather and report data as required by HUD or the Division, and monthly reconciliation of grant funds. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field and two years of professional grants experience which included writing grant applications to secure program funding; determining grant/subgrant program eligibility; researching, developing and implementing long-range grant program plans; managing fiscal aspects of grants/subgrants; and monitoring and enforcing grant/subgrant recipient compliance; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; OR one year of experience as a Grants & Projects Analyst I in Nevada State service.

Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
