Health Resource Analysts assist in the development, maintenance, implementation, and revision of State health care policies and programs.
Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
This is a Health Resource Analyst position (Quality Improvement Manager) within the Chronic Disease Prevention & Health Promotion (CDPHP) Section in the Bureau of Child, Family, and Community Wellness, Division of Public and Behavioral Health located in Carson City, Nevada. The Quality Improvement Manager will participate in activities which integrate, evaluate and document statewide efforts pertaining to chronic disease prevention and management, as guided by the U.S Preventive Services Task Force, Healthy People 2020, and Centers for Disease Control. This position is responsible for the overall direction of activities involved in program integration, clinical and community quality improvements, and fund development. The position guides the implementation of comprehensive capacity building initiatives that address improvements in the overall care continuum of chronic disease prevention and management. Duties include, but are not limited to the development of integrated program initiatives and implementation of quality improvement processes relating to chronic disease prevention in health systems, including institutionalization and monitoring of standardized quality measures at the provider and system level. This position will oversee the Preventive Health Service Block grant and the Advisory Council on the State Program for Wellness ad the Prevention of Chronic Disease (CWCD).
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree in the health sciences, public administration, social sciences or closely related field and three years experience in the health/social sciences or related field which involved analysis of health data, identification of health care needs, and the development of health care reports, policies and programs; OR one year as a Health Resource Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
