Grants & Projects Analysts develop and implement and/or assess, monitor, control and review grant-in-aid projects/programs administered by State agencies and provide assistance to recipients in evaluating program effectiveness.
Under the supervision of the Grants and Projects Analyst III, this position tracks, develops and assists with the grant pre/post award process and assists with grant management for all Division of Emergency Management (DEM) grant programs. The position monitors grant program activity for all grant programs including sub awards; is responsible for internal grant management, grant audits, quarterly reports, monthly reports and technical assistance; and develops, reviews, processes/uploads grants and reports as required by Federal agencies.
As a member of this agency, activation of the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) may occur in the event of a major emergency. All positions in the agency perform a role to support the SEOC operations. This may serve to disrupt/alter/ revise or totally change all previously established work performance standards, requiring 100% of time until the emergency is over. During activation, the SEOC may be in operation 24/7 for an extended period of time to include holidays and weekends.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field and two years of professional grants experience which included writing grant applications to secure program funding; determining grant/subgrant program eligibility; researching, developing and implementing long-range grant program plans; managing fiscal aspects of grants/subgrants; and monitoring and enforcing grant/subgrant recipient compliance; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; OR one year of experience as a Grants & Projects Analyst I in Nevada State service.

Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
Must be able to work Nights/Weekends/Holidays.

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
