Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
This postion will oversee the fiscal management of the Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Section within the Division of Public and Behavioral Health and is responsible for monitoring grants, subgrants, and project deliverables for numerous Chronic Disease program areas. This position provides leadership and assists with grant and program acitvities as assigned. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Special Notes
Appointment to any level in this series requires successful completion of a written examination.
Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures.

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
Additional Position Criteria
Professional level experience in accounting, finance, and/or grant management is required.
Experience analyzing and tracking current procedural terminology (CPT) codes is required.
