Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.

The Nutrition Program Professional administers the USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) throughout the State of Nevada in public or private schools and/or nonprofit camps, nonprofit organizations, charitable institutions, community and faith-based organizations, homeless shelters and other institutions which are licensed or approved to provide services. Responsibilities include interpreting and implementing Federal regulations and state statues to evaluate applications to participate and assure program compliance; planning, organizing, and conducting workshops and online training; nutrition education and menu planning; and initiating outreach to communities and professional organizations to market and expand the programs. Positions in Food & Nutrition require certification as a Registered Dietician or Level 3 Certification from the School Nutrition Association within one year of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

An earned Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and one year of professional experience in an educational program area; OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and two years of professional experience in an educational program area. |

Positions may be required to work on evenings and weekends. |

Positions require statewide travel. |

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
