The Position
Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.
Clinical Social Worker 3's function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action OR function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives according to the needs of the hiring agency.
This position is located with Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services in Sparks, NV. This position requires a working knowledge of; community and family system approaches to treating individuals with mental illness and supervisory principles and practices. Incumbent will serve as a first line supervisor for professional staff. Supervisory duties include performance evaluations, training, assigning and reviewing work, counseling and discipline.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers, and one year of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
Special Notes
    Incumbents must obtain and maintain licensure or provisional licensure to engage in social work as a Clinical Social Worker or associate in social work in accordance with NRS Chapter 641B and the regulations adopted by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
Special Requirements
    A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    Working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays is required.
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
