The Position
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
This position is located at the Carson City DMV in the MVIT Department. The Department is looking for a candidate that possesses excellent project management, analyst and design, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with the following skill sets: Windows Server 2008/2012, Administration (GAC, IIS 7.0, and Certifications), Microsoft SQL database Administration, Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Net Framework, TFS 2010, and SDLC Methodology is desired as well. In addition experience with SharePoint 2010/2013 Administration IBM/DB@ and PowerBuilder. Understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MS SQL server; Index Management and statistics; SQL Server Analysis services and SQL Server Reporting services are a plus. The incumbent must be a team player and work well in a team environment

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and three years of progressively responsible professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analyst and development, and/or information security, one year of which was at the journey level; OR one year of relevant experience as an IT Professional II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
