The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
This position performs annual compliance audits for all certificate holders in the Taxicab Industry. The incumbent will also: gather statistical information regarding the Taxicab Authority and Industry; analyze the data for presentations to public bodies; prepare monthly reports on statistics; compile statistical data into multiple reports used for budget purposes; research and respond to agency inquiries directed by upper management; and coordinate and monitors revenues received by Clark County and certificate holders. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Special Notes
    Appointment to any level in this series requires successful completion of a written examination.
    Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures.
Special Requirements
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
    Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
    Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, some positions in this series have been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in these positions, must submit to pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
