The Position
Employee Development Managers and Training Officers analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, manage and coordinate training and development for a department, division or a geographic region of a department's statewide training function and supervise and/or conduct sessions for vocation and/or skills training in specific occupational areas and general management development.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. APPLICANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Under general direction of the Employee Development Manager this position will serve as the e-learning training and curriculum coordinator for the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services Division, Statewide. Responsibilities will include the development, production, and maintenance of all E-learning training curriculums and programs; conduct in-classroom training; monitor and evaluate the work performance of subordinate staff; recommend training curriculum needs and requirements; supervise Family Services Specialist III's, Administrative Assistant's, and students attending training classes at the Professional Development Center (PDCS), Las Vegas. This position may require moderate travel up to 25% of the time.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education or related field and two years of experience in the adult training process which includes experience planning programming, coordinating and conducting adult training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Additional Position Criteria
    This position requires the applicant to have work experience in e-learning web authoring or Web Development (such as Moodle, Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe, Brianshark, Luminosity Studio, etc.).
    This position requires the applicant to have work experience training adults in a Social Services environment.
    This position requires the applicant to have casework management experience in a Public Assistance Program. Examples of a public assistance program are Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Energy Assistance Program (EAP), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid and Child Care Subsidy Program.
