JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Economists prepare and conduct research, analysis and studies of economic, social, fiscal and other factors in
relation to topic of study.
This position is located in The Department of Taxation's, Executive Division, in Carson City, NV. This recruitment will be used to under fill an Economist III. Automatic progression may occur upon the supervisor's approval and when minimum qualifications of the higher level have been met. The incumbent provides research, data and statistical analysis, forecasting and related services to the Department. Applicants should have a strong background in economic forecasting, statistical analysis, data validation, and projections and forecasting in general. A valid Driver's License is required.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in economics, labor economics, econometrics, statistics or a related field and two years of professional experience in conducting statistical/economic data collection, analysis and research involving the application of advanced statistical, mathematical and economic principles and research modeling; OR one year of experience as an Economist I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
