The Position
Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.
SOUTHERN NEVADA ADULT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES (SNAMHS) is currently recruiting for a Clinical Social Worker III. The incumbent may be assigned to any SNAMHS work location. This position will initially be located at the West Las Vegas Clinic. Duties include overseeing the delivery of professional services, responsibility for staff coverage, space and equipment needs, budget development and monitoring, developing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, program guidelines, and agency policy. Incumbents must also have the ability to manage a caseload of individuals with significant mental, emotional and psychological problems and related disorders. They must also be able to supervise lower level Clinical Social Workers, other professional and support staff, and interns; anticipate needs and prepare budget requests; and analyze, assemble and report data. Incumbents will also have knowledge on utilizing the recovery model and on ensuring compliance with CMS standards, as well as established laws, regulations and SNAMHS policies.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers, and one year of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
Special Notes
    Persons employed by a government agency on July 1, 1988 as a social worker, supervisor of social work or administrator of social work who were performing clinical social work duties, and who possess a license to practice as an associate in social work and who meet the experience requirements are eligible to compete in the selection process for this series.
    Incumbents must obtain and maintain licensure or provisional licensure to engage in social work as a Clinical Social Worker or associate in social work in accordance with NRS Chapter 641B and the regulations adopted by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
