The Position
Driver Warehouse Workers receive and store freight, load transporting vehicles, and deliver and pick up supplies, materials, and equipment.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
Driver Warehouse Worker IIs work under the supervision of the Supply Tech III and consults with them on a regular basis. They will be accepting deliveries of supplies and equipment; verify deliveries against invoices; report any damaged items; examine produce upon receipt for freshness; keep logs for all UPS deliveries; deliver food, office supplies, equipment etc., to Ely State Prison and conservation camps; ensure all trucks are loaded and secure; check loads against shipping receipts to ensure all items are accounted for; and have receiver re-inventory shipment and sign shipping receipt. Staff will be working directly with inmate workers and supervising and monitoring their work performance for evaluations and reporting infraction of established rules and regulations pertaining to inmates. They will ensure that all Warehouse keys and tools are accounted for and lost keys or tool are reported immediately to Supply Tech II. Incumbents will need to observe all safety practices at all times.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    One year of commercial freight delivery experience which included responsibilities for loading freight and operating a Class A commercial motor vehicle; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Notes
    Incumbents are subject to random testing for drugs and alcohol per Title 49 CFR Part 382 of federal regulations.
Special Requirements
    Driver Warehouse Workers are required to possess a valid commercial driver's license with appropriate endorsements at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
    Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
    Travel more than 50% of the time is required.
    This position requires a valid Nevada Class A Commercial Driver's license.
