Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation,
employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
Incumbents monitor recruitment and hiring activities; train and provide guidance to Personnel Technicians IIIs; generate reports of scheduling of physicals; coordinate, monitor process and review confidential drug results for employees; coordinate, monitor and process background checks, fingerprinting and related pre-employment requirements; submit PREA requests to the IG's Office; coordinate, monitor and review NPD-19 classification/reclassification requests; participate in the development of work performance standards and essential functions; assist in the development and revisions of administrative regulations and operating procedures for HR functions; provide Pre-service Training as requested; review applications, schedule written examinations and establish certification list of eligible candidates.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field and two years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Notes
Without the required relevant Bachelor's degree this position would require 4 years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience.

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required.
