The Chief, Environmental Programs coordinates, plans, directs, and manages environmental activities in the Division of Environmental Protection within the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources or in the Environmental Division within the Department of Transportation.
Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
This position is located within the Right-of-Way Division, Survey Services Section in Carson City. Under general direction incumbent supervises staff involved in the statewide acquisition and property management program for the State highway system; coordinates projects and activities within the Section to include land surveying, resolving land boundary conflicts, and preparation and interpretation of land conveyance documents.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in surveying, mathematics, or physical science and three years of progressively responsible experience in land surveying, resolving land boundary conflicts, interpreting land conveyance documents and performing engineering calculations; OR registration as a Professional Land Surveyor; OR two years of experience as a Engineering Technician IV in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires work experience performing land surveying calculations and utilizing CADD. |
|
This position requires work experience interpreting and preparing legal descriptions. |
