Grants & Projects Analysts develop and implement and/or assess, monitor, control and review grant-in-aid projects/programs administered by State agencies and provide assistance to recipients in evaluating program effectiveness.
THIS RECRUITMENT IS FOR TWO GRANTS AND PROJECTS ANALYST II POSITIONS.
Positions ensure that multiple programs are operating in compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies. These positions prepare complex grant applications to secure federal funding for state and/or state sponsored programs including writing/amending program descriptions and compiling required financial and statistical data; review and evaluate applications for sub grants submitted by organizations for program participation, determine eligibility, and recommends approval; conducts site and desk reviews for grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, etc., internally and externally; monitor and enforce recipient and sub recipient compliance to federal, state and local laws and regulations; provides guidance for the uniform administration and use of federal or state funding for federal, state and/or state-sponsored programs; prepares progress reports and analyses; and documents results, reports discrepancies and makes recommendations to ensure required documentation is in accordance with federal, state, local, non-profit and tribal regulations and the terms and conditions of multiple grant awards and is appropriate and efficient use of funding received and/or reimbursed.
Fiscal duties include review, approval, coding and processing of sub recipient reimbursement payments; preparation and tracking of federal draws and financial reports; maintenance of spreadsheets, budget projections, entering data in state and federal programs; track and maintain budget expenditure and payroll documents, contracts, and revenue funding; update budget projects and justifications for budget building; ensure and update internal controls and administrative procedures; and research and procure equipment and supplies.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field and two years of professional grants experience which included writing grant applications to secure program funding; determining grant/subgrant program eligibility; researching, developing and implementing long-range grant program plans; managing fiscal aspects of grants/subgrants; and monitoring and enforcing grant/subgrant recipient compliance; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; OR one year of experience as a Grants & Projects Analyst I in Nevada State service. |

Travel may be required up to 25% of the time. |

A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment. |

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |
