The Position
Correctional Vocational Trainer instruct inmates in a discipline or field and direct the production of goods or services. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position will be responsible for the following: instructs inmates in the laundry/dry cleaning by providing both written instruction and practical training in order to teach vocational skills and processes, use of equipment, appropriate health and safety measures and work ethics; over sees the prison laundry and dry cleaners to assure that service is provided to the inmates and staff; orders stock, materials, equipment and repairs for laundry area.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    One year of journey level experience in the field to be taught; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in which the applicant demonstrates possession of the entry level knowledge, skills and abilities.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
