Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.

This position is located in the Information Technology Division, Carson City. Incumbent will act as a project Scrum Master for small to medium sized cross-functional software development and enhancement projects. Duties include assisting in the creation of Prioritized Product Backlog and definition of Done Criteria; coordinating creation of Release Planning Schedule; assisting the Scrum Team in the creation of User Stories and Acceptance Criteria; facilitating Scrum Ceremonies (e.g.- daily stand-up; sprint planning, backlog grooming, backlog review, sprint review, and sprint retrospective); facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution; supporting and educating Product Owners; removing impediments or guiding the Scrum Team to remove impediments; and ensuring the Scrum Team is adhering to Scrum principles, aspects, and processes.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and two years of progressively responsible professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, and/or applications analysis and development; OR two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service; OR four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
