Electronic Technician's perform work requiring the application of electronic principles and practices involving the installation, maintenance, calibration, repair, programming and modification of a variety of electronic and computerized equipment.
--The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a full-time Electronics Technician II position for Facilities Maintenance Services. This position will perform or assist with all duties associated with the perimeter security, access control systems function, safety function of the fire/life safety shop, and other duties as assigned.
--The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. This position is designated as Essential Personnel. In the event of a campus emergency, special event, closure to maintain campus safety or building operations, this position may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Associate's degree in electronics or closely related field from an accredited college or technical school and two years of experience performing electronic technician work involving the installation, maintenance, calibration, repair and modification of a variety of electrical and computerized equipment; OR two years of experience as an Electronics Technician I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

This position requires the State of Nevada certification for fire alarm 'F' card within 90 days of employment. |

As part of the hiring process, applicants for positions in the Nevada System of Higher Education may be required to demonstrate the ability to perform job-related tasks. |

A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |
