Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
This position is within the Division of Insurance (DOI), Administrative Services unit in Carson City. The key functions of this position will include collecting, analyzing and distributing information regarding the cost of insurance in order to stabilize that cost effectively, including undertaking surveys, data call, and tracking insurance industry trends. The position is also responsible for collecting fraud assessments that pay the expenses to investigate acts or practices of fraud; coordinating, compiling and completing the National Association of Insurance Commissioners' (NAIC) Insurance Department Resource Report (IDRR) survey annually; developing, maintaining and publishing the consumer guides; and maintain oversight of contracts with outside vendors and DOI. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Special Notes
Appointment to any level in this series requires successful completion of a written examination.
Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures.

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
