Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.

This position is located within the Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Unit located in Carson City. The LTSS Unit is responsible for the oversight of the following Medicaid healthcare programs: Nursing Facilities, Hospice Personal Care Services, Home Health, and several Home and Community Based Services. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting complex statistical research that will be used to develop and implement these health care programs. Additionally, this position will assist in data collection, statistical report preparation, program research, as well as budget monitoring and preparation.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Special Notes
Appointment to any level in this series requires successful completion of a written examination.
Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures.

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
