Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment.
-- Great Basin College is recruiting for a Maintenance Repair Worker 2 position for it's main campus in Elko, Nevada. This position performs general maintenance duties for buildings and grounds such as repair to sprinkler systems, minor repair to buildings, and repair to appliances. The position also performs custodial duties by providing lead work guidance to the custodial crew and performing hands-on building custodial activities. This position performs carpentry, plumbing, painting, Sheetrock repair and electrical work. Additionally, the position will remove snow, perform preventative maintenance on equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
--The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and is required to be on call on weekends (rotation); this is subject to change based on organizational needs. This position is designated as Essential Personnel. In the event of a campus emergency, special event, closure to maintain campus safety or building operations, this position may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Two years of building, grounds and equipment maintenance
experience in performing semi-skilled building/grounds and equipment maintenance work; OR one year of experience as a Maintenance Repair Worker I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
