The Position
Psychiatric Caseworkers monitor the treatment and progress of mentally ill or developmentally disabled clients, perform day treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation activities, and coordinate discharge and aftercare services, in an outpatient, inpatient, clinic, residential, treatment center, client's home and other community settings.

The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for a Psychiatric Caseworker I to be located in Winnemucca and/or Lovelock, NV depending on the candidate chosen. This area offers some of the most majestic views in Nevada and an abundance of recreational activities! These positions are assigned to the DCFS Wraparound In Nevada (WIN) Program which provides intensive care coordination within the statewide Children's Behavioral Health system utilizing the Wraparound Model. DCFS Wraparound Facilitators (Psychiatric Caseworker I) link families to appropriate resources, facilitate Child and Family Team meetings, and empower families to identify their informal or "natural" supports to participate in case planning; DCFS Wraparound Facilitators also complete Strength, Needs and Cultural Discoveries with youth and families, develop individualized care coordination plans, and collaborate with agencies in the community to serve youth and families. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
This positions will be located in Winnemucca and/or Lovelock. These are full time positions that includes a variable work agreement that with overtime after 40 hours per week. The State of Nevada and DCFS offer an excellent benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, participation in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), accrual of 15 days of annual and 15 days of sick leave, 11 paid holidays and no city, county, state or social security tax! DCFS also encourages education by providing on-going trainings and paid release time for staff to obtain CEU's. Some positions may also be eligible for an additional 5% Shift Differential pay. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, or closely related human services field and one year of experience assisting professionals in providing direct client care and implementing treatment and/or service/care coordination plans for individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities; OR an equivalent combination of experience and education above the bachelor's degree level.
Special Requirements
    A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
