The Position
--Western Nevada College (WNC), Fallon campus is recruiting for a part-time Facility Attendant. The main purpose of this position is to monitor and report any security or facility related problems to appropriate staff or agency. Duties include patrolling the assigned buildings or facilities, checking doors, windows and alarm systems, watching for unauthorized personnel, fires, or other dangers, and keeping daily log of incidents and crimes. Additionally, the position will assist in set up and breakdown of classrooms and lab as needed, empty trashcans and stock restroom supplies if custodial staff is not available, clear sidewalks of ice and snow, and perform other duties as assigned.
-- The typical work schedule is 19 hours varied; may include days, evenings, weekends and/or holidays. This is subject to change based on organizational needs. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Graduation from high school or equivalent education and six months of experience involving public contact.
Special Notes
    As part of the hiring process, applicants for positions in the Nevada System of Higher Education may be required to demonstrate the ability to perform job-related tasks.
Special Requirements
    Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
    Working weekends and/or holidays is required.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.

    This position requires experience effectively interacting with clients and the general public, and responding to general requests for assistance.
