Mental Health Counselors provide counseling, case management, direct clinical services, community and home based services, and behavioral and human services to mentally ill, developmentally disabled and/or emotionally disturbed clients in an outpatient, residential, community or similar setting.

Located in Dayton, NV Provide individual family and group therapy to mental health clients of all agents. Complete screenings for prospective clients, conduct intakes for new clients and provide psychological evaluations as indicated. Provide emergency counseling as indicated in conjunction with on-call schedule being able to physically respond within 30 minutes. Perform legal commitments if needed; travel to provide direct services; travel long distances (round trip) to outlying areas to provide clinical services outlined in item 1 as needed. (Typically 1 trip per week) Clinical records and clinical data, maintain clients files and clinical data in compliance with agency policies and procedures, ethical standards and the law. Support activities, attend staff meetings, clinical staffings and in-service trainings. Consultation/Education services, provide forensic psychological consultations to courts, law enforcement and parole and probation agencies as well as consultation and education to other agencies and individuals in the community as dictated by needs of the clients.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, social work or closely related academic field and two years of post-master's degree professional mental health counseling experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience at or above a master's degree and experience as described above.

Application Evaluation Exam
The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
