JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Rehabilitation Managers plan, organize, and manage the operations and service delivery in a district or statewide office.
Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.
This position works in the Bureau of Disability Adjudication with the medical program officer to ensure compliance with SSA policy, Department and Bureau procedures, State regulations and NRS. The incumbent will be responsible for interviewing and hiring, managing and supervising state and contract physicians/psychologists and medical program officers. This position will also ensure medical consultants complete required number of case reviews and program officer completes required number of compliance visits on a monthly basis, monitor and manage movement of medical claims through the bureau. This position must work with members of management to promote accuracy of medical reviews and provides appropriate training to medical consultants, as needed, works with program officer to establish and maintain medical vendor panel, reviews and investigates complaints regarding vendors received by the program officer. This position will act as liaison between adjudicative staff and medical consultants, as needed.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, a field of social science, vocational rehabilitation or evaluation, or related field and two years of supervisory experience supervising journey level professional staff providing disability-related services; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Education above the bachelor's degree level may only be substituted for one year of supervisory experience.)

REHABILITATION MANAGER 1 (12.409) Training and Experience Exam
The exam will consist of a rating of training and experience weighted 100%. It is essential that applications include extensively detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. Your score will be based on the information provided in your application and your responses to the questions asked below. If there are several parts to a question, answer each part separately.
