JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Economists prepare and conduct research, analysis and studies of economic, social, fiscal and other factors in
relation to topic of study.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
This position is within DETR's Research & Analysis Bureau. The incumbent will be providing Nevada's jobseekers, students and career development professionals with the information they need to make informed career decisions. The position is primarily responsible for researching and disseminating career, education and occupational information; updating, testing and assisting in the ongoing maintenance of the web-based Nevada Career Information System (NCIS); providing technical support to NCIS users; and conducting surveys of postsecondary institutions and training providers to gather information. *** THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited college or university in economics, labor economics, statistics or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.

Microsoft Word-Intermediate level.
