Staff Research Associates perform or supervise the performance of laboratory and/or field experimental procedures in support of academically-supervised research and teaching in the natural, physical, or social sciences.
The Unversity of Nevada School of Medicine is recruiting for a Staff Research Associate 1 for Physiology & Cell Biology. The incumbent will perform cell preparation and cell labeling for analysis by flow cytometer and/or for separation by fluorescence activated cell sorting; operate the flow cytometer and cell sorter instruments; prepare solutions, perform cell cultures, isolating RNA and perform PCR analyses; and analyze flow cytometric and cell sorting data using specialized software.
--The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the required area of specialization; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
