Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.

Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. OR Incumbents perform basic tasks or elements of the job not requiring the additional knowledge, skills and abilities to perform at the next level in the series.

This position is located within the Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) of Health and Human Services, Nevada Early Intervention Services - Reno region. ADSD provides an atmosphere of innovative thinking, teamwork, and friendly co-workers, and is a great place to work. The mission of the Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is to provide leadership and advocacy in the planning, development and delivery of a high quality, comprehensive support service system across the lifespan to allow all of Nevada's elders, children and adults with disabilities or special health care needs, to live independent, meaningful and dignified lives to the greatest extent possible. This position is a Clinical Social Worker I under filling a Clinical Social Worker II which provides family training, counseling, and home visits to assist families with a child under the age of three with disabilities. The incumbent will also review all referrals from social service agencies. Progression to the II level will occur upon meeting the minimum qualifications, work performance and upon the approval of the appointing authority.
