Licensed Psychologists provide psychological testing, evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation to clients or inmates in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings, at a mental health, intellectual disabilities, or correctional facility, or in other settings where psychological services are provided.
Work responsibilities include providing psychological assessment and consultations using a wide range of instruments, developing behavioral intervention strategies, group and individual psychotherapy. Will also provide crisis intervention, help develop safety plan recommendations for patients, and conduct patient interviews. Emphasis on utilizing the recovery model, formulating individualized treatment plans that leads to self-sufficiency. Ensure compliance with CMS standards, as well as established laws, regulations and SNAMHS policies. Incumbent will work an innovative variable schedule and are exempt from overtime. Incumbent must also demonstrate forensics experience through training and work history; and must be able to pass additional background clearances for local jails.
This position supports SOUTHERN NEVADA ADULT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES (SNAMHS). Agency positions may be assigned to any SNAMHS work location and any shift. This position is initially being assigned to the Rawson Neal Psychiatric Hospital located at 1650 Community College Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89146. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

One year of post-doctoral experience in providing psychological services in an inpatient, outpatient or residential setting. |
|
Licensed Psychologist I's must possess current licensure as a Psychologist issued by the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners at the time of appointment and maintain licensure as a condition of continuing employment. |
|
Working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays is required. |
|
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. |

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
