JOB INFORMATION

Program Officers administer a program or major component of a program by planning, coordinating and managing services and activities in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and established program performance standards and objectives.
--The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, Mineral County is recruiting for a full-time Program Officer 1 in HAWTHORNE, Nevada. Under supervision of the Extension Educator, the position will manage agricultural grant program services and activities to include management of multiple grant program evaluation protocols; grant analysis and reporting; account reconciliation and compliance; marketing and communication; and liaison to staff and stakeholders. Incumbent is required to conduct on-site visits to various program locations.
--The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional evenings and weekends; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university in public administration or a related field; OR graduation from high school or the equivalent and four years of previous experience either performing or assisting in the planning, coordinating or administering of a program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
