JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Insurance Examiners perform professional work in verification and analysis of the financial condition/solvency
and market conduct examination of providers of insurance and related products in the State.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position works within the Department of Business and Industry, Division of Insurance, Corporate & Financial Affairs Section (C&F), located in Carson City, NV and is responsible for company licensing, financial statement analysis, collateral management, financial and market conduct examination of foreign and domestic insurers, receivership processes, strategic planning, new program/product implementation, and maintenance of corporate records. Existing professional staff perform critical tasks such as completing financial statement analysis within the National Association of Insurance Commissioners' Accreditation standards; processing new applications and corporate amendments; as well as ensuring the Division's ability to regulate both the traditional and non-traditional insurance markets for both solvency and operations.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration, finance or related field, and three years of professional experience in accounting or auditing; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
