Health Care Coordinators perform professional work related to Medicaid program operations and auditing providers to ensure compliance with program policies and regulations.

This recruitment is for a Health Care Coordinator vacancy in the Community Based Care (CBC) Program of the Aging and Disability Services Division, located in Las Vegas. CBC Social Workers and Health Care Coordinators assess, serve and provide case management to the physically disabled deemed most at risk for imminent placement in a nursing home through the Medicaid waiver. This program provides home and community based services at average costs lower than the cost of nursing home care. These services also allow recipients to remain in their homes and maintain that independence.
This position requires fluency in both verbal and written Spanish and English.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Licensure as a Social Worker or professional licensure or certification in a medical specialty applicable to the assignment.
Special Requirements
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Professional licensure or certification as a social worker, nurse or in a medical specialty issued by the appropriate licensing board in the State of Nevada at the time of appointment. Incumbents must maintain professional licensure or certification in their specialty as a condition of continuing employment.
