The Position
Clinical Program Managers plan, organize, implement and direct one or more mental health, intellectual disabilities, and/or child development service delivery programs by establishing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; monitoring and evaluating program performance; developing and monitoring budgets; integrating programs with other state and community services; and supervising clinical and administrative staff, typically including licensed Psychologists and/or subordinate supervisors of professional clinicians.
Clinical Program Manager I's work in a relatively small program or cluster of programs. The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for Clinical Program Manager I in Carson City, Fallon, and Elko; the best candidate for the position will determine where the position will be located. This position will be responsible for the program development and implementation of a new Rural Region foster home program approved by the 2015 Legislature, which will include: hiring, training, and ongoing supervision of mental health counselors and social workers. The Clinical Program Manager I will conduct assessments in determining program eligibility of children. The position may also be involved in the recruitment of foster homes for the program and training foster parents, staff and stakeholders involved in the program of the evidence-based model that will be utilized. Incumbent will also design and utilize data reports regarding program goals such as: increasing placement stability and achieving permanency for foster youth more timely and provide outcome reports. This position will also be responsible for developing policies and procedures necessary for the program to operate in compliance with federal and state mandates.
This is a full time position that includes a variable work agreement that may be scheduled to work hours and days different than 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday such as swing shift and weekends, with overtime after 40 hours per week. DCFS programs include child protective and welfare service delivery in rural Nevada and oversight of urban county-operated child protective and welfare services, children's mental/behavioral health treatment and residential services (outpatient and inpatient acute) in urban Nevada, and statewide juvenile justice services including state-operated youth training centers and youth parole. DCFS is an extremely complex organization with incredibly dedicated and professional staff that are committed to building strong communities through strengthening families.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    A Master's degree from an accredited school in clinical psychology, clinical social work, counseling, or a curriculum related to the option/s identified, and three years of post-Master's degree professional experience in a human service delivery setting, two of which were in the option/s being recruited, and one of which included supervision of professionals in the option/s identified; OR a Doctoral degree (Psy.D) in clinical psychology from an accredited school of professional psychology, and two years of experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Additional Position Criteria
    Licensed in Nevada as an LCSW, MFT, CPC or Licensed Psychologist
    Experience working with youth ages birth to 17 in a mental health/behavioral health setting
The Examination

The exam will consist of a rating of training and experience weighted 100%. It is essential that applications include extensively detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience.
