JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Information Technology (IT) Technicians install, configure, monitor, and maintain networks and monitor and maintain help desk user support or mainframe and server operations.
The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services is recruiting for a vacancy located in the Security Unit at Central Office. Working under direct supervision, the incumbent will provision and/or deprovision appropriate system level access; process Automation System User Requests (ASUR) within the service level agreement timeframe; document the ASUR exception responses from the Information Security Officer (ISO); and develop, update, maintain, and distribute detailed security procedural standards documentation, as needed. This position will also act as primary back up for the IT Technician IV with respect to security provisioning and system access auditing.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent and four years of experience utilizing the fundamentals of typical computer systems, operating systems, applications, and peripherals, two years of which must have included IT work experience in a user support role; OR one year of relevant experience as an IT Technician II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Additional Position Criteria
Experience with provisioning and deprovisioning system access and/or system access auditing and reporting.
