JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
Statewide.
Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation,
employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
The Veteran Program Coordinator position is with the Compensation, Classification & Recruitment section of the Division of Human Resource Management. This position will be responsible for planning and implementing recruitment activities geared towards assisting veterans in gaining employment with the State. Duties will include consulting with veterans, identifying potential intern positions, community outreach to agencies and various sources to promote and support the program; developing a " crosswalk" between military skills/education/training to State jobs/minimum qualifications and assisting veterans with the application/recruitment process; developing program policies, procedures and guidelines which will enhance the veteran's hiring program for the division; conducting research, compiling and presenting statistical data and providing a variety of reports to ensure success of the program; and researching and developing grant proposals seeking funding in support and enhancement of the program.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field and three years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
This position may require up to 25% travel.

This position requires the applicant to be a honorably discharged veteran.
