JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Program Officers administer a program or major component of a program by planning, coordinating and managing services and activities in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and established program performance standards and objectives.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.

APPLICANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.*** This position will report to the Financial Aid Department located at the Cheyenne Campus. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Manage the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) process to ensure compliance with federal regulations. This includes ensuring all SAP appeals are reviewed and students are notified of the committee?s decision. Manage the special circumstance and cost of attendance appeals to ensure compliance to regulations. This includes exercising professional judgment and evaluating appeals and/or verification of those files and notifying the students of the outcome. Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Outlook and ability to learn PeopleSoft/MyCSN software platform. Must be able to learn and interpret federal, state, and institutional regulations associated with assigned duties; strong customer service skills in person, over phone and in writing; must understand and abide by FERPA rules at all times; must provide supervision of 1000 hr. employees and/or work study employees that are a part of the Financial Aid Department team; strong communication skills in person, over phone and in writing; must be a team player and take ownership of assigned responsibilities; and possess the ability to work with little supervision after training period. This position may require occasional traveling between campuses and working extended hours and weekends as needed. Special Note: Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of an extensive background check.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university in public administration or a related field; OR graduation from high school or the equivalent and four years of previous experience either performing or assisting in the planning, coordinating or administering of a program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Examination
