Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is located at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Carson City at 555 Wright Way, within our Northern Human Resources Office. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating, processing and the management of the following department-wide programs: Workers' Compensation, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), American's with Disabilities Act (ADA), Catastrophic Leave, pre-employment physicals and drug testing. The Management Analyst will develop and maintain tracking systems for various programs. Incumbents in this position develop, revise and implement personnel policies and procedures. The incumbent will provide guidance and consultation to HR liaisons, managers and supervisors.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.

Appointment to any level in this series requires successful completion of a written examination.
Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures.
