The Position
Incumbents function as supervisors to the Supervisory Right of Way Agents who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
This position is located in the Right-of-Way Division, Carson City. Incumbent coordinates Statewide Right-of-Way project activities, schedules and budgets associated with property acquisitions/negotiations, property management and relocations assistance programs in order to accomplish Department goals and objectives; supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors to ensure the timely and effective operations of the Right-of-Way Division; review appraisal reports to ensure consistent analysis and procedures used to determine compensation; issue memorandum establishing just compensations based upon the appraised Fair Market Value if the review appraisal was performed outside the Department. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, real estate, finance, economics or related field and five years of progressively responsible right-of-way experience, two years of which involved supervising or administering one or more major activities of a comprehensive right-of-way program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
    A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
Additional Position Criteria
    This position requires experience in the acquisition of real property and/or relocation of individuals and businesses pursuant to the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended (Uniform Act).
