The Position
Clinical Program Managers plan, organize, implement and direct one or more mental health, intellectual disabilities, and/or child development service delivery programs by establishing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; monitoring and evaluating program performance; developing and monitoring budgets; integrating programs with other state and community services; and supervising clinical and administrative staff, typically including licensed Psychologists and/or subordinate supervisors of professional clinicians.
The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for a Clinical Program Manager I that will be located Reno/Sparks, NV. Clinical Program Manager I's work in a relatively small program or cluster of programs. Clinical Program Managers develop, design and establish treatment programs that are consistent with the DCFS philosophy, goals and objectives and the needs of the community. Programs are developed by evaluating and assessing existing programs and identifying program needs. The position implements programs established by conducting and presiding over supervisor meetings and periodic general staff meetings, as well as through the development and distribution of written documents to subordinate staff; conducts a weekly clinical meeting to coordinate existing services provided within the program by the assigned professional staff; triage emergency or difficult cases; discuss program planning and develop new policies and procedures. The position recruits qualified personnel for the treatment program by requesting vacant positions to be filled, reviewing applications of qualified persons who meet the requirements as outlined by DCFS and State Personnel; interviews qualified applicants and makes selection of individuals to fill vacant positions with persons who best meet the program needs. The position investigates all incident reports to ensure the health and safety of clients in the program; ensures compliance with program rules and regulations; identifies potential problem areas; and implements corrective measures as necessary. The incumbent must have the ability to make sound, rational decisions on both a routine and emergency basis and the ability to discuss and process why decisions are/were made, both verbally and written.
This is a full time position with an anticipated work schedule of 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday that includes a variable work agreement with overtime after 40 hours per week. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    A Master's degree from an accredited school in clinical psychology, clinical social work, counseling, or a curriculum related to the option/s identified, and three years of post-Master's degree professional experience in a human service delivery setting, two of which were in the option/s being recruited, and one of which included supervision of professionals in the option/s identified; OR a Doctoral degree (Psy.D) in clinical psychology from an accredited school of professional psychology, and two years of experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
The Examination

The exam will consist of a rating of training and experience weighted 100%. It is essential that applications include extensively detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. Your score will be based on the information provided in your application and your responses to the questions asked below. If there are several parts to a question, answer each part separately.
