Professional Engineer Managers plan, coordinate and oversee projects, programs and consultant contracts/agreements and perform licensed professional engineering functions.
Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.

NDOT is looking for candidates ready to make water quality a top issue in their daily lives!
This position is located in the Stormwater Division in Carson City. Incumbent will be responsible for: overseeing the development, implementation, and administration of the Stormwater Enforcement Section for MS4 Permit compliance; coordinating and collaborating with Department managers, administrators, and local agency and stakeholder personnel; planning, coordinating, and overseeing enforcement actions associated with construction projects located within department right of way and external activities that result in water quality permit violations; performing professional engineering functions requiring assessment and analysis of illicit actions that degrade water quality; and developing unique solutions to solve difficult problems associated with enforcement of water quality regulations with contractors and business communities.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Current licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and three years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience in a supervisory or responsible project charge capacity; OR one year of experience as a Manager I, Professional Engineer in Nevada State service; OR three years of experience as a Supervisor, Professional Engineer in Nevada State service OR licensure and an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

An incumbent who is a licensed Professional Engineer in another state must become licensed as a Professional Engineer in Nevada within six months of appointment as a condition of continuing employment.

Registration as a Professional Engineer is required at the time of employment and as a condition of continuing employment. |
|
Experience enforcing State and Federal laws and regulations. |
