The Position
Professional Engineer Managers plan, coordinate and oversee projects, programs and consultant contracts/agreements and perform licensed professional engineering functions.
This position is located within District II, Reno. Incumbent will assist the District Engineer in managing district contracts, design review, self-performed betterments, as-built, asset management and stormwater inspection and enforcement program for commercial source discharges and pollutants. Incumbent will also plan, organize, direct and oversee the work and training of professional and technical employees; maintain; ensure adherence to contract plans and specifications; review plans and specifications prior to advertising for bids. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Current licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and two years of experience performing professional engineering work in a supervisory or responsible project charge capacity; OR one year of experience as a Supervisor, Professional Engineer in Nevada State service; OR licensure and two years of experience as a Staff II or Supervisor II, Associate Engineer in Nevada State service; OR licensure and an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Notes
    A person that is a licensed Professional Engineer in another state must become licensed as a Professional Engineer in Nevada within six months of appointment as a condition of continuing employment.
Special Requirements
    Registration as a Professional Engineer is required at the time of employment and as a condition of continuing employment.

    This position requires working alternate shifts and working outside traditional business hours.
