JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Economists prepare and conduct research, analysis and studies of economic, social, fiscal and other factors in
relation to topic of study.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
This position is located within the Research and Analysis Bureau and is primarily involved with collecting and classifying occupation and wage data for the Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) wage program. Although OES is primarily a mail survey, excellent communication skills are required to collect and clarify information and to explain the purpose of the survey to sampled businesses. The incumbent will develop and maintain familiarity with occupational staffing patterns within Nevada's different industries.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited college or university in economics, labor economics, statistics or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
