The Position
Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
This position provides Human Resource support for the Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS), and is located in Carson City, NV. As member of the DCFS HR Team will participate and manage the delivery of HR services to Division staff. Responsibilities include: Provide advice and guidance on NRS, NAC, policy and rule interpretation to program management, supervisors and employees; Investigate complaints and recommend alternative solutions; Coordinate the FMLA and CAT leave process; Respond to EEOC and NERC as needed; Respond and represent DCFS HR in hearings as needed; Review and update HR division policies; Complete research, prepare reports and present findings.
This is a full time position with a variable work agreement with overtime after 40 hours per week. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field and two years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
