The Position
Electricians perform skilled electrical work to maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
(DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME). Maintain operate and maintenance the Electrical equipment to include but not limited to: Lighting, Interior& Exterior, Fire Systems, High Voltage 277/480 and less, Computer skills, MCC panels, Running conduit, Installing data lines, UPS battery replacement, cameras, emergency call stations, alarm wiring, new construction, Generators, and service. Preferred Qualifications IP CCTV, BMS, Solar, UPS, and F card. Please note: This position will be subject to the State mandated six (prorated) unpaid furlough days for a total of 2.3% pay reduction per year for the period July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2015.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Notes
    As part of the hiring process, applicants for positions in the Nevada System of Higher Education may be required to demonstrate the ability to perform job-related tasks.
Additional Position Criteria
    This position requires OSHA 10 Training.
