Plumbers perform skilled plumbing work to maintain and repair plumbing systems, fixtures and equipment.
--The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Plumber 1 for Facilities Maintenance Services. The major purpose of this position is to perform journeyman level plumbing maintenance and repair of buildings, structures, and fixtures. The incumbent will repair and maintain all fixtures and applications, valves, pumps, faucets, institutional application such as medical labs, chemistry labs, and health care facilities. The incumbent will follow blue prints and oral instructions for demolition and /or new installation of fixtures, equipment, and piping.
--The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. This position is designated as Essential Personnel. In the event of a campus emergency, special event, closure to maintain campus safety or building operations, this position may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Completion of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
