JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Custodial Workers perform general cleaning services to State facilities using various cleaning equipment and materials to provide a safe, hygienic and orderly work environment.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This Custodial Worker 2 position is assigned to the Facilities Management Division of UNLV. Emphasis will be placed on floor care knowledge and skill with equipment. as well as flexibility in work assignments each shift. Supervision of shift personnel may be required during the absence of the supervisor. Work schedule is Monday through Friday either 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM or 8:30 PM - 5:00 AM, depending on crew assignment. *Per the Nevada State Legislature, classified employees are subject to six (6) mandatory unpaid furlough days per year. **UNLV is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity educator and employer committed to excellence through diversity.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, industrial, hospital, governmental or similar environment; OR six months as a Custodial Worker I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements
A valid drivers license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Skills Required
This recruitment is open only to persons who have been employed for at least six months of continuous full-time equivalent classified state service and are currently employed with UNLV.
